The hostel which is a converted barn & byre with thick stone walls set in a grassed court yard. The hostel sleeps eight people with two twin rooms one family room and a fully fitted kitchen with a conservatory to sit and relax in at the end of the day. Beds can be booked on a self-catering or Bed & Breakfast basis. Our campsite overlooks the Noust of Ayre with lovely sea views we have three Camping Pods for all year camping and a static caravan, our campsite has a modern heated shower block, lounge and kitchen area overlooking the Holms of Ire. We are ideally located for enjoying everything Sanday has to offer. Our shop stocks local crafts and the Chip Shop offers hot meal takeaways on Saturday nights. Come and experience Sanday an Orkney Island at its best with beautiful sandy beaches a isle steeped in history and charm. We offer a sanctuary for those that seek it a perfect place to come and relax.

The hostel has two twin rooms, and one family room which is shower & toilet en-suited. Rooms 2 and 3 have cable TV installed, free Wifi available in all rooms. There is a self-catering kitchen, an extra shared wet room style shower and toilet. This shower is also wheel chair accessible.
Our new conservatory lounge area, with expansive views offers a comfortable place to relax after a day's exploration of our beautiful island. You may spot seals or other wildlife while you relax.
Rooms are available on both a self-catering and bed and breakfast basis. Evening meals can be provided by special arrangement at additional cost.

• The Hostel
• The Hostel is a recent conversion of the outbuildings at Ayre and is entirely self-contained new conservatory added to hostel. The hostel lies along one side of a grassed court area, safe for children to play in.
• Kitchen
• The hostel kitchen is fully equpped to make your stay a real home from home. Nothing has been forgotten and you will find everything from a microwave oven, to that all important corkscrew and bottle opener. We have, of course, included the kitchen sink.
