Description

The Bunkhouse has sleeping accommodation for up to 32 people in 11 rooms of one set of bunks, two sets of bunks or family rooms (double with a set of bunks). There is a washbasin in each room and there are shared showers and toilets. The accommodation is sleeping only therefore there are no cooking facilities. All meals are available in the cafe/bistro across the road at the main hotel. Bunkhouse guests are welcome to use all ground floor amenitites of the hotel -bars, parlour sitting room, bookshop, gallery, restaurant. There are (limited) drying facilities and it is possible to store bikes overnight. There is a great ambience in the main bar where live music often happens - planned or not! The Bunkhouse is close to the bus stop and in the centre of everything that goes on in the village.

Jock and Jean and their staff were brilliant. The atmosphere was perfect, the rooms beautiful, and the views more so, and their hospitality was extraordinary. I arrived as a stranger from the other side of the world (Tasmania), and the Ceilidh place crew treated us like family.
