Hostal Tormes is in a very convenient location pretty much in the center of the city, near to the Salamanca´s famous monuments, universities, museums, shops, bars and night clubs. Is a very quiet place even being located in the main street, between the Plaza Mayor and the Cathedrals.
And given that there are two doors to go through before reaching your room and CCTV cameras, the feeling of security is very high.
The cost is really cheap for a hostal situated in a building of the historic town, with 11 rooms, a living room and the communal areas redecorated in 2010 Sumer, with: sofas, chairs, tables, 42” TV. You also can enjoy the free WiFi internet everywhere.
We keep clean the shared bathrooms and all the communal areas everyday to give you a clean and tidy place to chill out, meet other people in the hostal or eat. Always trying to provide a great atmosphere.

Tormes Hostal was a really great place to stay and I would recommend it to others. It was in a great location, 5 minutes from the Plaza Mayor, 5 minutes from the University and within walking distance from everything else. The rooms were all clean and it was a nice space to be in. The guy was very kind as he was VERY accommodating and was able to answer all questions and help to navigate around the city.

I've been on the road for 6 weeks and felt more at home here than any other hostel so far. Carlos was wonderful, full of ideas and very attentive. He felt more like a friend than an employee! The location was perfect, directly in the center of town and only 2 minutes walk from the main sights. The bathrooms were clean and I even had a sink in my room! I will definitely be staying here if I ever make it back to Salamanca!
