Description
Situated in the scenic village of Killin ('one of Scotland's prettiest villages') by beautiful Loch Tay. We are located next to Killin Hotel in a small courtyard behind the church.
Great hillwalking and 'munro bagging' location with Ben Lawers very nearby.
Bikes, canoes and kayaks available to rent from the hostel and guided tours arranged too.
This is a great place to chill out or be active in a fabulous location within the Loch Lomond &Trossachs National Park.Much to do & see in the area with ancient castles, whisky distilleries, stone circles, early Celtic Christian & Druidic standing stones, crannogs (Bronze age loch dwellings), ancient woodlands, Fortingall Yew Tree 'the world's oldest tree' & Glen Lyon, 'Scotland's loveliest glen', are all a short distance away.
This is an area steeped in history & mystery, so come & catch it whilst it is still one of Scotland's best kept secrets!

Friendly staff, however the public areas could do with more thorough cleaning and the palce is probably a health and safety hazard.

Clean and tidy. All bedding provided. Nice wooden interior - chalet style. Fine for self catering. Helpful chap meeting us, very friendly. Can definitely recommend. Countryside around the hostel is beautiful but you can't see it from the accommodation... just a 2 minute walk away though.

Nothing except the bed...
The hostel is globally dirty, noisy and smelly. Stuf everywhere. Electrical wire not secured : in one room the window cannot be closed because of a wire !
Too much expensive for such bad prestations.
I wonder how this hostel can be mentionned in your website !

Beds were rather nice for hostel beds - also linen on beds clean. Interior nice with wooden panels - but could be better if place was cleaned properly!

Very friendly and welcoming by owner, atmosphere spreads amongst guests to lead to a very sociable time. Has musical instruments for playing and singing!

Loved this hostel, probably the best we've ever stayed in. Has doublebed bunks in the dorms, some onsite caravans and canoe and bike hire. Rustic and cosy, not your usual sterile hostel.
