Great place -- good prices
This is a great choice to stay in Queenstown. The location is good -- five minutes (uphill) from the town but nice and quiet. The staff are some of the best I've come across in New Zealand -- very friendly and chatty. The rooms are clean -- stayed in a double which was in a separate "shed" behind the hostel -- nice and private but a bit of a nuisance to walk to the loo at night! Common areas are well equipped but are insufficient for the numbers staying -- particularly between 6 and 8 p.m. the kitchen is basically inaccessible. Showers and toilets are always clean and are in good condition.

I wasn't a great fan of this hostel as I felt there were too many people staying there for its size! It was clean enough but the other backpackers didn't seem to keep the kitchen clean, etc. Friendly staff, though.

I was sad to leave this place. It's awesome, one of the best places I've stayed. Mitzi and Dan are quality and know their stuff about the area and activities. The hostel is cozy and clean and there's free soup at 6 every night.
