The Hostel at Naples was absolutely fantastic. A great value for $10, it was just what the doctor ordered for three weary travelers. My only recommendation would be to head down Highway 2 to the Chic N Chop if you want to get something to eat instead of eating at the local restaurant. We had a great time in Naples working on the puzzle they had and seeing waterfalls and moose by day.

My experience at this hostel in Naples, Idaho, was excellent. The hostel managers are friendly and accommodating. Facilities were functional and more than adequate; the local area is safe; prices in general store are reasonable; the store is well stocked, and with an above-average selection of wine, interesting. And there is a good selection of surplus military items in the room above the store. The local people are friendly. The local cafe has wholesome food and is reasonably priced. Based upon my experience at the hostel in Naples, Idaho I definitely recommend it to travelers.

This hostel is located in a large wooden structure that was once an old dance hall. In August there was no air conditioning, but the building remained cool during the day anyway even though it was over 100 degrees outside. It was quite comfortable. The place was empty the day I stayed there. I paid the fee and the manager showed me around the hostel. She was pleasant and gave me a single private room with a comfortable full sized bed for the price of a dorm bed. She left and went back to work at the general store across the way. And that was the last of anyone I saw for the rest of the day and night -- which was fine with me 'cause I just wanted to get my laundry done, catch up on my journal and get a good nights sleep. One thing that bothered me was that there was no telephone in the place. The closest phone was the payphone across the driveway in front of the general store. I didn't feel too comfortable being the only car parked outside in the large dirt driveway, especially with my out-of-state plates. After the general store closed, there was no one around. I ended up locking the hostel doors before I went to sleep just to be on the safe side. No one came by to stay at the hostel that night anyway. I wouldn't mind stopping over there again someday.
