St. Kilda is a very picturesque and happening suburb by the bay, sandy beaches, and is only a short distance from the city centre. With a huge range of cafes, bars, clubs, live music, and shopping, the main strips (Fitzroy and Acland streets) have been renowned destinations for years.
From The Gunn Island Hotel, the beach is less than 5 minutes walk. To the city, the #96 tram located across the road takes about 10 minutes, and getting to Fitzroy St is simple. The #96 tram gets to Fitzroy St in 3 minutes and walking only takes around 15 minutes. This tram also goes to South Melbourne, Fitzroy and Brunswick; all of which are very trendy and popular areas.

If you can stand with not so clean room then a short night stay will be fine. In the bathroom you will see stained bathroom tub. The shared room doesn't smell at all. No air-conditioning in a room. However, if you enjoy night entertainments, this place has a fabulous pub on the ground floor. You will see good looking guys and girls. — OLIVIA (2007-02-04)
