The Hostelz.com Review
HI Mid Cape is a very peaceful place to stay. Make sure you take the directions with you, it is easy to find if you have directions. It really is also useful to have transport, even if only a bicycle, as the nearest shop is 25 minutes walk away. There is a beach within walking distance, but it is not the greatest of sunbathing beaches on the Cape, although the sunsets are supposed to be spectacular.
The cabins are very basic, four sets of bunk beds in the majority. The cleanliness is not bad, but the concrete floor could have done with a good sweep! The toilets/showers are in the main building, which is fine when the weather is good, but not too pleasant in rain! There seems to be a lack of keys available for the dorms, which combined with no lockers could make security an issue.
The main building has a large kitchen/seating area, with plenty of refrigerated storage. We could find no evidence of a breakfast bar with cook your own waffles etc, but there is tea/coffee/soda available at a small charge. There is a selection of books and games available to use.
The toilets and showers are basic but clean. Unfortunately, the showers don't go above luke warm! The staff are friendly enough, but most seem quite shy.
The atmosphere is somewhat lacking and it's not a place for partiers. But all in all, if you're looking for a relaxing, peaceful, get away from it all break, this is a good place to go.

I went to this hostal w/ my girlscout troop This is a great hostal, so if you are interested in staying at one, you should choose this one. I didn't spend a lot of time in the hostal, but the time we spent there was comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was the beds were very hard. Besides that, I loved my stay there. — Kathryn , America (2007-06-03)

This place kind of took me by surprise. I knew that I would be far away from, well, anything. I expected the place to be quiet. It was. It is located a bit far from the main road, but there is a shortcut through some shrubbery. Crossing a road, you'll be there in 15 minutes.
The staff is very friendly. They enjoy people coming to stay, and they don't mind spending time with you, even after their shift is done. Good atmosphere, good people. I'm coming back. Go there.
P.S. The cabins you sleep in can get quite chilly at night. They provide blankets, but still. Wear long pants when you sleep. — Adventurer (2005-07-19)
