5  Amazing setting and tranquil I stayed here in 1990 or so and it was one of the better hostels I had stayed in across the US. It was such a nice area and it had a piano in the great room at the time. Overlooking the lake with flowers everywhere on the land surrounding it, I was truly happy to be there. Nearby there was a cowboy breakfast ride which I took advantage of. I wished I had a bicycle for this little western movie type town to bike around in. Very quaint and rustic area! Bathrooms were good and structure was solid, clean.  , USA ()
5  Wonderful Driving up, we saw a coyote and that was just the beginning of our great Colorado adventure at this rustic lodge. The people were friendly, helpful, and so interesting to talk with. The view from the lodge porch overlooks the lake. There are walking trails surrounding the lodge and the town is very close. We had dinner at a great place with peanuts all over the floor. The chapel and campfire area are peaceful. I didn't want to leave. Rocky Mountain National Park is awe-inspiring and all of nature points to God. It's a fabulous place in our country and I recommend it to everyone!  , USA ()
5  This place is great. We were going to stay one night and stayed on an extra night because we enjoyed it so much. The view alone is worth the stay. The awesome dining room and common area are very comfortable and welcoming — great for a rainy afternoon. And the people (staff and guests) were all great. It's walking distance from town — with lots of options for canoeing, horseback riding, etc. And Rocky Mountain National Park is 1-1/2 miles away. The beds and the bathrooms are clean and serviceable. (If you want glamour, stay someplace else and pay five times as much.) Ask for a room in the Rempel Lodge (the main lodge) with a view of the lake. Spend a little time at the chapel (next door to the lodge) or, on a clear night, stargazing at the point. All awesome.  ()
5  Beautiful location, incredibly friendly staff, great atmosphere -- the best hostel I've stayed in.  ()
