Hopewell offers a choice of accommodation from backpacker's rooms to luxurious double ensuites and a self contained cottage. Almost all rooms enjoy expansive sea views.
Surrounded by native forest and turquoise waters, Hopewell is the perfect retreat for relaxing and at the same time provides a wide range of activities. Laze on our sunny, secluded and sheltered beach. Enjoy a day's walk on the Queen Charlotte Track with water taxi transfers. Explore the Kenepuru Sound in our kayaks. Hike in the surrounding pristine native forest. Experience a unique golf course with unbelievable views. Try fishing for the famous Red Snapper. Collect delicious oysters and sample the freshly steamed mussels. Mountain bike into the Pelorus Sound. Soak in the hot outdoor spa under the southern night sky. Visit the resident glow-worms. Stunning I did not want to leave. When we arrived we were greeted with tea and muffins (freshly out of the oven) with the owners. They did free mussels for everybody every few nights. The rooms were immaculate and incredibly comfortable. Everywhere (windows and floors) were cleaned daily and there wasn't a bit of dust/dirt anywhere. Best kitchen I've seen. Kayaks, Fishing, Spa pool -- all for a small once off fee for unlimited use. Words cannot describe the location, the quality, the cleanliness and the friendliness of Mike and Lynley who run and own the place.
