Overpriced -- better can be found We made a last minute decision to stay in Koper (everything appeared to be booked out in Piran and we didn't want to do a lot of walking with our backpacks in 33c heat) and came to this hostel. It does feel very institutional and surely better suited to school groups than tourists. We were initially told that the hostel was not yet available (I'd hope it would be for July of all months), but an exception was made for us as we were staying for one night. The cost was a jaw-dropping 24 euros per night (not including breakfast), and as soon as we saw the hostel in full, we immediately regretting paying so much, when we could better have found a private room. The rooms, again, were more suited to school groups, not in a great condition, and although we hoped to cook in the kitchen/TV room, there appeared to be only one pan available, and the other chain-smoking guests in the room made getting a kebab and sitting by the sea a more attractive option. We slept ok, and the showers/toilets, worked ok, but this hostel did not warm our hearts, and certainly not worth the extortionate price we paid. — Jim Hart , Netherlands (2010-07-14) Institutional but not unpleasant This place was cheap and friendly but not that exciting.
