Cool and best. It is a good place for one to enjoy silence, has large playground, and the rooms are nice. Warm showers and evergreen maintained area. I have been there twice September and November 2011. Come and enjoy the feelings of Africa. — Titus Kyalo Musyimi. , Kenya. (2011-11-05)

ymca is one of the most calm areas near lake Naivasha. anyone who want a calm environment during their vacation would wanna go. it might not be as fancy as the other places but it has everything you need for an outdoor or indoor vacation with all the outdoor gear available and at hand for rent at a reasonable price. — angela nyakianda (2006-09-23)

I have used the facility twice. Two days in 2004 and six days in 2005. Though hostel is not five-star, they have everything you need from camping, bandas to dormitories for up to twenty people. They have well maintained washrooms with hot water showers, various halls, and a spacious compound for every game from adult to those of children.
The place is ever green and only fifteen minutes walk from Lake Naivasha. I really enjoyed my stay. — James Njoroge (2006-04-18)

It's a great place, cool and away from all the noises and the DUST of Naivasha town. For those who would like to visit, the phone code is 050 and not 0311 as indicated in the Web site. Enjoy... I am sure the painting is over, have fun! Taste the goodness of Africa. — Muringi (2005-08-01)

I found that this YMCA, while not up to the standards of the USA, to be more than acceptable. It has running water, showers and toilets, an eating hall with traditional Kenyan food, and decent soccer facilities. My only complaint was the fact that upon our arrival and payment for lodging they began to work on the property. The painting of the dinning area resulted in our having to eating our final four meals outdoors. Overall, though, it was a decent facility. — Robinson Rider (2005-05-05)
