Annie's Nirvana Lodge is only a five-minute walk from the bus stop -- if you ask the bus driver he will usually drop you off right outside. There is a large supermarket nearby also if you are self-catering.
The hostel staff are very friendly and helpful. They give you information about the local area, including a map and numerous suggestions about what you can do whilst you are in the town.
The dorm rooms are a good size for a good price. There are two kitchen areas which can be used. They have plenty of plates and pots and pans for you to use. There are fridges and microwave ovens in both of the kitchens. There are dining tables inside next to the kitchens as well as outside at the rear of the property. Adjoining one of the kitchen areas is a small lounge area. It has chairs for about six people but there is floor space if you don't mind it. There's also a television and a selection of videos at no extra charge.
There are at least three bathrooms, each with a toilet, sink, and shower. All of these are cleaned regularly and all supply hot water. There is a coin-operated washing machine and tumble dryer under cover in the back garden.
Bikes can be rented here too and can be quite useful for many short rides. Your one-time payment allows you to use a bike at any time throughout your stay, whether it's a day or a week. Helmets are also supplied.
