Good place, not near the old town, and with a couple of drawbacks The family who owns this converted home, and live just above the shop, are very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was fun staying here. There were a number of friendly people, free Wi-Fi and desktop internet, and there is a kitchen. Cleanliness overall was perfectly acceptable. The management will organise tours for you to the islands, Montenegro, or Mostar, but are not at all pushy with them. A couple of drawbacks, however. There are no lockers in the dorm rooms, and the location is buried in the suburbs, far from the old town. Even when you have taken a bus (#6) from the old town, it's still a ten-minute trek up steep flights of stairs to the hostel. — PJ , London (2009-06-12)

Best "hostel" i've stayed at I stayed here in August 2008 and was didn't know what to expect having thought that I had booked in to a hostel. Everyone I dealt with for the stay was more than welcoming, more than happy to help out with anything I needed, and helped make our stay as pleasurable as possible. I had a few miscommunication problems and wasn't able to confirm what time I'd be at the station however someone was there for us when we arrived for the free transfer (which I'd say take, as its a bit of a hike up through the hills and you do not want to be carrying your luggage and crap up through the stairs in this town). The lady did our laundry (not free of charge) and did an amazing job, ha ha, no colours run, no shrunken clothes. The old man was so welcoming, they were able to extend our stay and helped to keep us in the same apartment. We had maps on arrival, bathroom has toilet paper, soap, shampoo, you actually have your own bathroom. Our apartment had its own terrace, kitchen, drawers, cupboard, bedside lamp and table, its more like a small holiday apartment than a hostel, and was 20euro each per night for two of us, less than what was available for dorm beds at hostels in Dubrovnik.
Service great, place was great and clean, about 5-10 min walk down to the beach, beautiful beautiful area, as all of Dubrovnik is. They also do airport and bus transfers when leaving, however these are not free. Definitely give this place five stars considering the price and condition of the place. — Naomi , Australian (2008-09-09)
