Chill out haven -- my favourite hostel in South America
Three kilometers out of town but well worth the taxi. A home away from home complete with hammocks, garden, and a river. One of my favourite hostels on the six-month trip. Highly recommended. Market is good on Tues., Thurs., and Sat. and do some hikes if you get the chance. the staff will point you in the right direction.

Great surprise, amazing people
I really liked this place and the people we met there. It was the only hostel in our trip run by people our age. Ana's breakfast were really nice, hot coffee, milk, water for tea. Toasts with butter and with homemade marmalade, corn flakes are just what you need to start your day. Even when the all-girls dorm was full (twelve beds) everybody was so nice and respectful you could see nothing wrong with sleeping with ten perfect strangers. Free lockers are available for everybody. The bathroom was clean and I had no problems with the hot water. The best was the new bar. Really cheap and tasty drinks, great music. Amazing place. The best part of it was that even when the music was really loud inside, you wouldn't hear anything from the dorms. Also good, was the food service available. Really good and cheap dinners. The low points of this place, those little things to be corrected to make this hostel the best were -- the Internet PC (free) was old, so it was slow and annoying. Wi-Fi connection was available. In the other hand, it wasn't as clean as it could be, but the place was so nice I even forgot that. I wouldn't doubt going back.

This hostel is amazing. run by three really nice guys, all speak english -- and spanish and german also spoken. The main house is lovely with two kitchens, open fire and sitting area, double rooms and dorm rooms. I stayed in a cabin which was very nice. They have a massive garden surrounded by mountains, with table tennis, barbecue, hammocks. It's very homey, i loved it there. It's quite far from town, but only costs $6 in a taxi, or a nice walk. It's very friendly and homey, highly recommend!
