5  The best of times -- coming of age in 1987 Nowhere before and nowhere since have I ever felt so welcomed, so appreciated for who I was. The magical wild ride from april 87 to august.  , Canada ()
3  Crazy but interesting times Stayed in 94 - 95 for a few months. Just been back to Tel Aviv and unfortunately its shut down now. Building still looks the same and the sign Welcome Home still there. Brought back a lot of memories just walking around there.  , British ()
5  THE PLACE ROCKS! Stayed there in 97/98, The place ROCKS -- great vibe & people, i was the only local there.  , USA ()
5  Fantastic i stayed at the home hostel for about eight months. what a place.  , british ()
5  Home sweet home Lived here off and on from '87 to '89. Close to the beach and downtown, yet on a quiet residential street. Not sure what it is, but there is always an amazing cast of characters drawn to this place. The best of times.  , USA ()
3  This place was a high light and insight i had the best time here in 1994 summer. i met some amazing people/characters. I even met up with a few years later in london. and well, i had a brilliant time -- it was a great way to end my summer of 1994. yeah, it was top! nice one!  , american now british ()
4  Good times I stayed in the Home Hostel on a couple times in 1988/89 and I think it's a great place. Home Hostel was great. Want to go back there sometime.  , Amsterdam ()
5  One of the best experiences of my life. I ran the place along with Amie in 1987. Met my first wife there, Jagna. We have a wonderful son. Life would have turned out very boring had I not taken the path less traveled to Home.  , Canada/England ()
4  Nice courtyard, close to the oldest part of Tel Aviv. Great place to get work under the table. Close to nice part of the old city. This hostel attracts a nice variety of interesting characters and except for summer it is the not that overcrowded. Stayed there in '95. Better than some of the overcrowded hostels that some travelers avoid and watch how quickly you get bored of falafels. The only bad thing there was the coffee -- but the grinds at the bottom of the cup, good stuff. Tel Aviv not the prettiest city.  , Canada ()
5  From 86 to 88 Sorry to go "Old School" on this one, but Home Hostel, Tel Aviv in the mid-80's was the place to be. Ami was the man, and the Blue Angel pub was the place to go. M*A*S*H Bar was just a place for the lads to get beer and fight. PS. The movie was called "The Frog Prince" Paul, are you from Ireland? Keep in touch if you know me. Jon  , USA ()
5  I was there in '87 -- had a fantastic time. Was also working as an extra on the movie. "The Emperors New Clothes."  ()
5  Just to clear it up, Anat wasn't going out with Martin -- I was. I used to clean the hostel and had a little breakfast thing going for a while! My cat was Gingy but he was always in scraps or getting run over so probably not around anymore -- we were there from around '94 to '96.  ()
5  I lived there in 1994, it was so nice and i'll never forget my life there.  ()
5  I lived and worked there in 1997. It was a fantastic place and I would highly recommend it to any traveler with a yen for learning and living. A big hi to Keith and Aaron from Aussie Jo.  ()
