1 Poorly managed party hole
The hostel is well located, but that's about the only thing I liked there. The staff doesn't speak English and don't give a sh*t about anything, mobile phones, ipods disappear from the dorms way too often. The owner does speak English, but I could only describe her as a prepotent bitch. This means basically that service is nonexistent unless the owner happens to like you. Cleanliness only shows in private rooms (as well as hot water!), common bathrooms are too few, and not too clean unless you happen to be the first one who used them that day. In the kitchen I saw the biggest roach ever -- no need to say more. The terrace with the pool and the tables are cool areas, I have to admit that. Dorms are a mess. Bugs crawling on the walls, terribly noisy since some of them are open to the corridor towards the common areas (drunken people coming and going all night long) and the rest are located just next to the kitchen-dining (same stuff about the drunken people). People would just get into whatever dorm looking for a free bed to have sex, or get into whatever dorm looking for a free bed once a couple had decided to have sex in their bed, or because someone totally drunk had peed on them while sleeping or because someone totally drunk had vomited in their dorm (I saw all these happening during my three days there) -- what were the staff doing? watching TV. Some people seemed to like it there though, I guess if you are in your late teens/early twenties, it's your first time abroad without mom and dad and your only goal is to test how many mezcal shots can you take before crashing and/or how many tanned girls/guys can you f*** in one week, then congratulations! this is your place.

5 Very nice -- made for a trip of a lifetime
The comments about Minnie seem to be a bit unfounded. She was very informative and helpful with solving any problems. I had trouble getting money from ATM and she let me stay without paying the first night. She was a bit "funny" about some things, but easily persuaded with a kind word or two. The kitchen was a great meeting place, and the truly international scope of the guests proved for fascinating conversations -- great and probably life-long friends were made by myself and many others. The Hostel is close to everything in town -- just up the hill, and very close to Playa Principal. It felt like home to me -- the great vibe and closeness of the guests made this a place I would recommend to anyone.

2 The owner is not that nice
I didn't have a great experience with the lady that owns this Hostel. Usually, I can along very well with people but she was (in my opinion) very "egoiste" and "manipulative." I was there with two friends in january 2007. we were all thirty-one years old.

5 I have been to sixty-fivecountries, possibly one hundred-plus hostels! This hostel is in the top five of all hostels I have visited. One month in '04 and two months in '05. I will try to get there again in late '06. It's better than any "tropical resort" (including Asia, Australia, Tahiti, Hawaii, Cabo, Baja, Mexico, Central America, Europe, Eastern Europe, USA). The "personality" and "ratings" of the hostel is fantastic. The recreation and water sports are unlimited. It's a town you will want to move to because it's cheap, mellow, low stress, happy go lucky, offers everything of home, with the benefits of North America!

5 I have been to the hostel in February 2006, so about three months ago. I stayed in a double room with a friend. It was very cheap and clean and close to the main, almost at the main road and at the same time quiet. We even had a own bathroom and really large and comfortable beds for 10€ per person and night. They were a whole bunch of people there, everybody was nice and there were a lot of parties going on there. For me the best thing was the free internet.
