I always stay at the Goalfever Guesthouse when I visit the shows at Essen Messe. It is very clean, excellent value, and though the staff don't speak english, and my German is non-existent, we still manage to muddle through! There is food available in their bar, and two restaurants/bars next door. Tram is five minutes' walk away, so all in all the best value place in Essen in my opinion. — Eric Richardson (2007-01-08)
