3  Overrated. Staff are nice enough but dorms are tiny and cramped, and bathrooms a pain to manoeuver in (showerhead over toilet -- 'nuff said). They turn the A/C too high, so it's really cold to sleep. Also, they were full so one night I had to stay in a single, which was a closet. literally. They converted a tiny broom closet into a room, with predictable results. Chinatown location was pretty good, though.  ()
5  My wife and I stayed here in April 2005. The en suite private room was great, considering the price we paid. Reception staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended.  ()
5  GREAT PLACE! One of the best hostels I stayed in. The rooms as well as the hostel are pretty clean. Staff as well as Boy and Lucy are really, really nice and helpful. We'll definitely stay there again if we ever get back to Singapore.  ()
5  I absolutely loved my stay there! It's small and intimate, quiet and clean, and above all friendly. Boy and Lucy seem to remember everyone's name, even if you only stay for a night or two, which I think says a lot about the customer service you get there. Staying at this hostel really made my trip to Singapore.  ()
5  Boy and Lucy are down-to-earth and always willing to help. They provide local knowledge to ensure that everyone gets the best out of the city and has a happy time at the hostel. Brilliant.  ()
5  Normally we don't take the time to write comments about hostels but this time we would just like to thank Boy and Lucy, who made our seven days in Singapore so smooth. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Every room has air-conditioning and the hostel is located in a quiet and safe location in the middle of Chinatown. Superb. Just try it out. You will love it the same way we did. For sure!!!  ()
5  For a first time traveler to ANY country, I spent three great nights in this hostel and I liked it so much that I booked another one! Boy and Lucy are really gracious hosts who assist one wherever possible. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they really went out of their way to make my stay especially memorable — thank you very much Boy and Lucy. I wish you all the success in the world! If I ever come back to Singapore, I will definitely be stopping over here.  ()
5  I really liked this hostel. The dorm room, the friendliness of the hosts and the backpackers — everything was great. They give free tours of Chinatown, and tropical fruit tasting. The hosts are extremely helpful and take the time to help with tourist advice, directions, etc. Their prices are low — matching the competition. I'd stay here even if they raised the dorm price even by 50%. In summary, I highly recommend this hostel, and I will stay here again when I'm in Singapore.  ()
5  You won't find a friendlier place to stay on your travels, and it's right in Chinatown. They even looked after my big backpack for $2 a night while I wondered around Malaysia for a week. Excellent place.  ()
5  The staff are great!!! This was the best place I stayed at on my way through Asia this summer.  ()
5  This hostel is the best I have ever stayed in during my travels. The staff are really friendly. The fruit tasting sessions are the best, as well as the private bathroom and TV in the double rooms. It's very clean and conveniently located in Chinatown--the best place in Singapore!!!  ()
5  Boy and Lucy were full of information on places to go and see. They even took the entire hostel to their family's house during Chinese New Year to see how they celebrate it. This was the nicest and friendliest hostel I stayed in during my travels around Asia and Australia. It's close to everything, clean and very welcoming.  ()
5  Boy and Lucy are the most wonderful and gracious hosts! They both made me feel at home during my stay in Singapore. The hostel is convenient to everything one needs to see! I would recommend this place to anyone going for a visit to this beautiful city.  ()
5  This hostel is really cool. Boy and Lucy are the most friendly bunch ever, so helpful and great. Highly recommended!  ()
