1 Great location, but everything else about it sucks.
It's very small. There is a sort of common room, but it's really just four tables crammed into the entrance area. Sitting there is no problem, if you're not anti-social. Well, you get to meet people easier. You had to go across a floor where there seemed to be offices or something to get to the dorms. There are two connected twelve-bed dorms and it gets pretty cramped in there with all the beds, and it's also noisy at night with people coming in late or leaving very early. To ease communication and prevent others from thinking your bed is available, you can put a sign on it with your name. There are several bathrooms upstairs and some more downstairs. The showers are a very long walk from the dorm -- across the floor, through the entrance hall (it's more of a chamber), down the stairs into the basement. Can't really remember much of the toilets. There were rows of sinks available, and I think the entire hostel had either two or four showers. The showers were really disgusting, and you didn't have any room to move at all in there. I can't remember breakfast. I'm pretty sure the hostel didn't offer any, as I always went to the supermarket to get my breakfast. However, there was a small kitchen in the hostel. there was no free Wi-Fi when I was there. There was an internet terminal for which you had to pay with your credit card. The location of the hostel is the only perfect thing about it, as it's in the middle of Stockholm's "Gamla Stan," the old city center which is an island. You can walk anywhere in Gamla Stan in about fifteen minutes. I also walked to Stockholm's other islands, down to Södermalm, and even over to Djugården. I walked way too much.
