3 The good thing about this hostel was that it was cheap and the toilet and shower facilities were good however you do have to provide your own toilet roll and towels. the location isnt too bad however it looks like it's in the middle of a ghetto as there is graffiti on every single building but the area is safe. the staff speak english and are very friendly, its a seventeen-minute walk to the old town and the trams stop off nearby. i would go there again as we had no trouble at all.

2 The hostel is not the same as pictured here. It has apparently moved to a different dorm. That being said, it's not dirty or unsafe, it's just a run down communist-era dorm with no common area or anyway to meet other guests at all. If you have to stay here it wouldn't be a disaster, but you could probably have a lot more fun somewhere else, although the bar across the street is fairly nice.

1 Basic hostel. I had to leave a passport as deposit for the key. I did not like this. It was kind of loud also. The toilets were not unisex but some guys seemed to ignore it. Overall it was not a great stay. Too expensive for what it offered.

5 I stayed here in 2002 during the week that the Charles overflowed, so there wasn't a whole lot to do — needless to say, I spent a lot of time at the hostel, hanging out with people from all over the world and drinking big cheap beers. The staff were very friendly and even organized a EuroSing one night at 3 a.m.

4 My friend and I stayed here last year. The staff were extremely tolerant and decent to us. The sandwiches were amazing and when you have the munchies nothing beats them. I loved the place, although sharing showers — what's that about?

4 The staff was the friendliest we met on our 3-week travel through Europe! There were nice, young people staying there as well!!

4 This was one of the cleanest hostels I stayed at. The very nice staff gave us a free subway ride to the hostel. The showers are communal, but nodody was ever in there with me. Hey, it's part of the European experience, anyway. No free breakfast, though.

4 It's crazy, a madhouse. It's well worth the trip.

3 We had free Metro ride to the hostel, and were allowed to view a room first. The rooms are reasonably nice, but the hostel facilities are pretty basic, as it is a university hall of residence. There are NO kitchen facilities despite the advertisement, and there are often long queues to check in. BUT, it is near a Metro station, and the Metro is very cheap.

3 Nice hostel but no kitchen facilities (although these are advertised in the hostel brochure). The staff vary in friendliness. The people who meet you in the station and bring you to the hostel are lovely but beware once you get there. It has communal showers, which may not suit everyone, so come prepared. You can't check in until after 2, which is annoying if you're travelling by night. Stay in one of their other hostels and you'll get 10% discount. This hostel doesnt have the safest atmosphere at night but is generally good. It's just a subway ride away from the city centre.
