5 Amazing! Loved it!
Hands down the best hostel I have ever stayed in, ever! As everyone else said -- so much for so little! More like a hotel than a hostel. Full bar and restaurant, and the town of Bad Gastein is so great with skiing and shops and loads of outdoor activities for the summer and winter -- you won't be bored! I'd go back in a heartbeat! Was so sad to go. So convenient to everything including the ski mountain and the train station. Really friendly, knowledgeable staff. They also organize all kinds of tours -- something going on every day (visit to the ice caves). And I do recommend the ice caves! Oh yeah. And the entire place was so spotless and cleaned by a housekeeping staff as opposed to the hostel staff. Like I said, more like a hotel than a hostel!

4 What a steal!
this hostel is so unbelievably close to the ski hill it will drive you crazy! there's a few couches which make up a common room, lots of clean showers and toilets, a breakfast you can't really complain about, and a deal with the local ski rental shops. there's no kitchen (even a microwave would be nice), and the dorms are cramped full of smelly skiers, myself included. get ski clothes from the lost and found if needed.

5 Brilliant hostel. It is an old luxury hotel, which still has all the luxury parts to it. Bar, breakfast included, and the rooms are very clean. Our room had its own bathroom. No kitchen but you can purchase meals, which were very good. Walking distance to the train station. Free parking. The town is beautiful and it is worth going there for a few days to look around or relax. (Thermal baths are right next door.) Definitely go into town to have a look at the waterfall and give the paragliding a go, it is worth the money.

5 Friendly owners and staff, located at the bottom of a beautiful hill for snow boarding. Everything is right at your doorstep. The breakfast was good, there were lockers, and it was really safe. I can't wait till ski season again.

5 This was a one of the friendliest places I stayed on my travels. The owners are great, and the chef, Ivan is brilliant. It is close to the train, and has a fantastic view. Can't wait to go back.
