Worst sistem for canceled the booking and you have to pay I booked this hostel, and in the same day a will canceled, wrote a e-mail, and the hostel wrote me back, and say my reservation was canceled, but I go to pay for the night, because I didn't cancel 72 hours before. If I just make a reservation, how can I canceled 72 hours before, my reservation is make for the next day, it is impossible to cancel 72 hours, I never have been in a hostel, who take the money for the all night and not only the fee for the reservation, I never have problems with the police the cancellation at hostel, it was the first hostel I have problems. — Anonymous , brazil (2011-04-25) I came to visit Rio for the first tme last March and had a great time. Ty greeted me at the front desk and was very helpul and friendly. Actually, Everyone on staff was cool. The free breakfast is a great place to meet with other travellers and there is info at the desk about tourist activities in Rio. I was travelling by myself so this made a great difference. I would suggest it to anyone. — Ashley USA (2006-07-12) Well, it has been over a year since my girlfriend Kara and I visited your hostel, and I remember promising to give you guys a rating. Two thumbs up! I think the thing that made the difference was the friendliness of the staff and all the help they gave us touring around Rio. Most places would not be so helpful, and I'm sure that made a huge difference for us on our trip.
One more thing: Could you guys help us out once more? We met Gabriel who runs things on the floor above the hostel and we have lost contact. The staff were so friendly (who could forget about Mo?), the location was safe and it felt more authentic (I saw more Brazilians than tourists for once) and the new set-up was absolutely fabulous!
