Description

Lauenburg is a charming old river port on the upper reaches of the Elbe. In the narrow winding streets of the historic lower town you?ll find many beautiful half-timbered houses, dating back to 16 to 19 c, as well as the ?Palmschleuse?, Europe?s oldest canal lock.

Nice and good organized hotel I stayed for two days (June 2009) and was surprised about the standard. Everything very clean. (At least) my room was quiet. Separate bathing room and toilet. I paid about 55 Euro for two nights including breakfast. Would go there again.
