Bit Like a Children's Summer Camp The location is very pretty, but it seemed quite a bit more like a summer camp than a hostel. Many school groups use this hostel when in Marburg. There were four separate school groups there at the same time as I was, and the hostel seemed to cater much more to them than to the other occupants. They lost my reservation in a dormitory, presumably because the school group had been booked on top of it. Also, the children were very loud all day until after 11 at night, and none of the staff seemed to notice anything wrong with this. However, the several of the other occupants were gathered in the courtyard and bar area, clearly displaced by the noise. Furthermore, the cold concrete/tile floors and walls, as well as smaller-sized furniture, and the ice cream bar within the lobby, send a clear message that this hostel's maximum age limit should be sixteen instead of twenty-six. — Anon (2009-08-31)

This is a beautiful place, right next to the river, adjacent to a walking bridge over the river to the main part of town, with a walking path all along the river. There are swimming pools (3 ouside and 2 inside) with a slide, an ice-cream bar, a snack bar both inside and next to the pool, and a volleyball court. Adjacent to that is a miniature golf course, camping, and a park right next to the hostel. There is boating on the river and lots of picnicking. The hostel is close to shopping, the bus lines, and the rooms are neat and clean. The bathrooms and showers are across the hall, breakfast is included, and they have ping-pong and other games. Excellent hostel. — Karen Thurman (2004-09-09)
