Simon's Town Boutique Backpackers Reviews from the Web
Hostelz.com Guest Reviews
1  Unfriendly Staff All the staff we encountered during our stay were unfriendly. We, too saw a few cockroaches. The room was kept clean and had a great view -- but the shared balcony was weird. Also, the blinds may as well not have been there as they let in lots of light in the morning (and actually made the light brighter than if there had been no curtain at all). The buzzer was also going off at all hours.  , United States ()
2  We would not stay here again. The rooms were freezing and we had to use sleeping bags under our duvet. We asked for a heater but they had nothing, though the cockroach didn't seem to mind. No curtains, no hot water in the sink (only cold water plumbed in). We were treated to a South African guy and his wife shouting till 11 p.m. then starting again before 7 a.m. Communal bathrooms were shoddy, with a cigarette butt floating about in my shower. There was no oven in the kitchen. They didn't seem to be able to book any of the trips or car rentals they advertised...very poor.  ()
