4  Well, the place has a cool atmosphere. In fact, for the three days that I spent there, I did enjoy every bit of my stay. The staff was extremely cheerful and helpful, especially Victor. His meals are just excellent. Nonetheless, I was rather bored after discovering that they had not made a reservation for me, after having booked online and actually phoned and spoken to a certain lady. However, to all my friends out there, please do not hesitate to drop in by the Home Backpackers in Durban, South Africa, whenever you want decent and affordable accommodation.  ()
5  Charlie misses this place even just after a few days. Home is beautiful and filled with beautiful people. It has an atmosphere I have experienced in no other backpackers. Thank you, guys. I hope you remember Charlie!  ()
4  A great place to start our South African trip. We pitched our tent on the patch of dirt they called the campsite and everything was wonderful from then on. Yes, it did pour that night and we feared for our beds but the shack stood strong and protected us. The staff were chilled and friendly. Although we did have to break in early the morning we left to get our stuff from the kitchen before the bus arrived. I've never been so scared as when I was clambering over the back fence with all the neighbours balconys over looking us and the 'ARMED RESPONSE' signs threatening a quick end to our holiday. None the less, would return in a heartbeat.  ()
5  I moved here after one night in another hostel and ended up staying a week. They paid for our taxi from the other one too. It is so chilled out and all the staff are really friendly and helpful. The beds are really comfy, the whole place is spotlessly clean (which is good as Durban does have a problem with cockroaches) and it is in a really nice neighbourhood. It's just a short local bus into town (costs 1 Rand).  ()
4  Amazingly helpful and friendly staff at a comfortable, relaxing hostel. Very social but not really a full-on party place, the beds are comfy, the pool is inviting and all in all I'd recommend this place to anyone.  ()
