This is by far the best German hostel I have visited. I spent three months traveling through Germany, and I can say with confidence that this hostel was the most pleasant hosteling experience I had. It has a very friendly and helpful staff, a good breakfast and super-clean rooms and toilets. Overall, I can recommend this hostel to anyone, especially families with young children. — Andre Potgeiter (2004-09-15)

Very clean hostel with a ton of hot showers and toilets. The breakfast was standard German hostel breakfast fare -- fresh bread rolls, sliced meat, sliced cheese, a few different cereals, jam, nutella, butter, coffee, and a few different kinds of tea -- but it was lovely. Not much of a common room -- a few books and maybe a couple of games/puzzles. No TV that I could find. There is a pay internet port in the lobby, but it steals your money and is incredibly slow, so you're better off going to Albert's Cafe in town for free internet access.
The hostel is a bit far from the city center -- I had a car, so I don't know what the public transport is like. I was in Ulm on a Sunday and there wasn't much to do other than see the Muenster spire. The hostel was pretty dead, too -- I think there were maybe four people staying there and it was super quiet, almost to the point of creepiness. The other girl in my room said that it had been full of people and music the previous night, though, so I don't think it's always that way. Overall, a very simple, clean, basic hostel to stay in if you want to see Ulm and climb the highest cathedral spire in the world! — Anonymous (2004-05-30)
