Hostelz.com Guest Reviews
Never again The host of the hostel is the most unfriendly person I've ever met. You can check in only after 5pm. If you come earlier, you can't even enter the building, as she locks it up, because there are no other guests. The reception is open only for 3 hours during the whole day. When I was there, only 10 out of 125 beds were occupied. She even wants you to clean the room and bring out the trash, so that she doesn't have to do anything. Checkout-time is already 8.30 am. If you are a few minutes late, you need luck to find someone to give you your key-deposit back.
If you need a hostel, go to Strasbourg. It's on the other site of the Rhine, only a few hundred meters away. — Anonymous , Germany (2010-05-05)

The location of the hotel is wonderful -- just aside the bicycle track on the Rhine river. the building is the heart of a very nice park with a small lake, a children playground, sport centers, and a landscape tower. A pedestrian bridge leads you on the french river side, where a twin park has been settled. Conversely, the welcome of the hostel is very poor: we have been asked to pay in advance, no credits card are accepted, 20 euros requested as a bail for the key (very uncommon). Finally, no price reduction for a five-year-old kid. The meals are mediocre. During the night some thugs broke the glass of our window, but nobody in the hostels excused for the inconvenience. Therefore we suggest to people going to Strasbourg to consider the french hostels before they choose this one. — Davide (2006-08-30)
