4   Good, basic accommodations Ostella Domus Augusta is a great place to stay if you are comfortable with a cheap, bare-bones style place. There are private bathrooms for each room, although they are not directly connected to the room itself; towels cost 1 Euro apiece, and there is no free breakfast. However, there is a good cafeteria with vending machines, and there is a supermarket just around the corner. The place is clean, and the single staff member is helpful. Most importantly of all, there is free laundry! With free soap! This I found very helpful. It is close to all the attractions of Aquileia (more that you'd think) and a quick bus ride to Grado.  , age 27, Canada ()
4  We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We didn't really realize it was a youth hostel until we got here, but we were very pleasantly surprised, not having stayed in a hostel for a number of years. We had a room with a bathroom of our own next door, and we found the staff very pleasant and helpful. It's easy to get to Trieste by public transport from here. And, for me, staying here was preferable to staying in Trieste itself.  ()
3  There is absolutely nothing worthy of a stay to see in Aquileia. I only stayed here because it was reasonably close to Venice (an hour and a half) and to the Trieste airport. This is a strange hostel. It has no atmosphere and it's very clinical. It is, however, very clean and the beds are comfortable. The staff were okay, just a little cold. I would recommend this place only if you have plans to visit other places and you are going to use it as a base to explore Venice. There is only one place to eat in town, a restaurant which isn't really a nice place to eat by yourself. All in all, this is a weird place.  ()
