We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We didn't really realize it was a youth hostel until we got here, but we were very pleasantly surprised, not having stayed in a hostel for a number of years. We had a room with a bathroom of our own next door, and we found the staff very pleasant and helpful. It's easy to get to Trieste by public transport from here. And, for me, staying here was preferable to staying in Trieste itself. — Alastair (2004-10-26)

There is absolutely nothing worthy of a stay to see in Aquileia. I only stayed here because it was reasonably close to Venice (an hour and a half) and to the Trieste airport. This is a strange hostel. It has no atmosphere and it's very clinical. It is, however, very clean and the beds are comfortable. The staff were okay, just a little cold. I would recommend this place only if you have plans to visit other places and you are going to use it as a base to explore Venice. There is only one place to eat in town, a restaurant which isn't really a nice place to eat by yourself. All in all, this is a weird place. — Kathyrn (2004-10-10)
