Nice given limited choice in Alesund The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very nice. but the room was small and the worse part was the bed. I slept in the upper bed, while my mum slept in the lower bed. when I climb upstairs, the whole bed was moving heavily and I needed to balance myself. I'm just 45 kg weight. — Delicia , Hong Kong (2011-07-29) Filthy Rooms were cold and filthy; garbage (old underwear and empty beer cans) under the beds. Moldy, dirt-encrusted bathroom. Actually, this is the dirtiest hostel I've ever seen anywhere in the world. Kitchen was also filthy and had no utensils or cups/glasses at all. — Anonymous (2010-03-27) Poor and dirty facilities, but nice and helpful people Double room was very old, walls cracked and full of holes, but clean and roomy. Shared bathroom was very dirty and there were used clothes all on the floor (there was a punk-girl living constantly and she made a big mess!). shower was old and dirty/moldy and bathroom floor wet after usage. But the cleaner cleaned the bathroom neat after my calling. the shared kitchen was more dirty than the bathroom, the fridges stunk and were very very dirty and full of food rests. I didn't use the kitchen because of that. the staff was very friendly and helpful, internet and laundry for free, breakfast was rich and good (except the marmalade was not in individual portions). For that high price I would not recommend this hostel and would not go there again. — Melinda , Switzerland (2008-07-30) This place is ok. I don't think there is too much choice of where to stay locally so if you are staying here overnight this may well be where you end up. It is not a memorable stay but is clean enough. We stayed in a double room which had its own little kitchenette. Opening hours were quite short in May and we had to hang around outside for an hour before we could be let in. — Dobie (2006-04-14)
