Description
Tønsberg is Scandinavia´s oldest town. The hostel is located on historical ground under the town´s landmark, the hill Slottsfjellet. Other sights: Tunsberghus from the viking age, Tønsberg fylkesmuseum with a collection of old buildings,the burial mound Oseberghaugen where the viking ship Osebergskipet was found in 1904, a modern and internationally renowned library. The hostel was rebuilt in 1997.
