This facility is no longer part of Hostelling International and I would not recommend it to anyone. When the three of us arrived in the early afternoon at this former hostel its receptionist informed us that we were to stay in a dorm number three that was upstairs. We were then given the keycard to that particular dorm by the receptionist. Unfortunately, when we returned to such dorm later in the day, after we had gone grocery shopping, we found that our backpacks and personal effects including a pair of glasses had been removed from our room by a member of this facility's staff and thrown out into the hallway. When we demanded to know the reason for such action we were told that we were in the wrong dorm and that we were supposed to have been in dorm four. We protested such action as being childish and hostile and we even produced the keycard that we had been given earlier in the day to dorm three by the other receptionist. However, to our utter amazement, the receptionist on duty at that time merely shrugged his shoulders and pointed to a piece of paper with dorm four written on it.
Later, to add insult to injury, we discovered that if we did not want to settle for cold showers that we would each have to come up with ten Kroner for the pleasure of a warm four minute shower. — Marc (2006-07-14)
