Best location to get to Pulpit Rock Stayed here for two nights. Very good location for the hike to Pulpit Rock/Preikestolen. Mixed dorm with four beds, clean and warm. I did not use the kitchen, which seemed to be fully equipped but not that clean indeed. Breakfast is included in the price (250 NOK per night in dorm) -- Tasty and plenty. I would return. — Chobbert , Germany (2008-07-25)

This was a nice hostel in a stunning location. The dorm room was spacey, with only two bunk beds in it plus a table, chairs, and an antique fireplace. The kitchen was smallish, but clean and well-stocked. The common area had a panoramic view, and lots of used books (mostly in Norwegian) and games. The price included breakfast, which was a good buffet (but extra for coffee!!). At 210 kr it was expensive (not unlike other hostels in Norway). It rained my entire time there, but if you get good weather, the hike up to Pulpit Rock looks amazing. I would phone before you go to check conditions, as that's the main reason many people stay here. — Jen (2006-08-29)
