The hostel has a beautiful location, overlooking Geirangerfjord. Ample possibilities for fishing in the nearby rivers, lakes and the fjord.

There are various hiking trails near the hostel. You find also a beach and a small craft harbour in Hellesylt.

Important sights: Hellesyltfossen waterfall, the Synnylven church and the mountain farms at the Geirangerfjord.
