Description
Halden is located on the Swedish border and has a nice archipelago. The most spectacular sight is Fredriksten Fortress (1660), beautifully located with a magnificent view over the town and the harbour. You can visit the Halden canal with its many lockgates, or hunting or fishing in the forests.Fredrikshald Theatre is the oldest theatre in Norway.
