best hostel I have ever stayed! clean, quiet, best breakfast I have ever had in a hostel. and price was ok -- without a membership card, it is quite expensive, but with it you can get really, very cheap price.

I stayed in Feb. 2005. At the same time a modern and historical hostel. Good situated at the opposite bank of the Maas river. A kitchen to cook your own meal. Opened late at night (till 11). I enjoyed a great stay.

I was here on a stopover, so I really only used it as a place to crash before carrying on, but I found it to be a pleasant and sociable place. Liege is certainly not one of the most highly rated towns in Belgium, but an evening stroll was pleasant enough. Although not really on the backpacker circuit, the hostel was popular with cyclists and hikers enjoying the wonderful Ardennes scenery just outside of the town. The hostel itself had a wonderful outside courtyard and was in a fairly bohemian quarter with lots of inviting bars. The hostel owners were also friendly, giving me lots of info about the city, making this a short, but pleasant stay.

As usual for an HI hostel, it was a little pricey, but clean and quiet. All I did there was shower and go to sleep (exhausted from my bike trip) and it was absolutely perfect for that.

This place was well organized and very clean when I visited it two years ago.
