All you could need at a working hostel! Ok so the first and most important thing you need to know before booking a room here is that this is a working hostel. Of maybe 40 out of 50 guests here work locally in hotels, farms, and labouring so there is not the usual backpacker hardcore party atmosphere you would usually see around North bridge or a lot of the east coast. However, the hostel and the people who stay here were really friendly and the hostel was fairly modern with a decent internet cafe, big lounge area with a huge tv, massive balcony where most people seem to socialise in the evenings, and 2 big kitchens. I only stopped through for 2 nights but if/when I look for work again it will be in Dunsborough and I will stay at the Lodge without a doubt!! — Jaimee , England (2010-12-02)

Excellent The Hostel is very modern, clean, and well presented, with a good location to town and beach. Priced fairly well. The Hostel was great, However this is a working Hostel mostly -- don't expect a lie in and really like the smell of cooking onions and rice in the morning. If you work with the company that deals with the Hostel, (Goworkabout), the only difference between working at Bunkers Bay and Sweat shop is the pay which is $18.44 -- expect to work hours try six-and-a-half with out a dinner break. The Management team at the resort Bunkers Bay couldn't tell their arse from their elbow, they're part of something bigger, but they cant see the mold and limescale growing in the showers. All in all the Hostel is great, great staff, great people, but be warned of The Management at Bunkers Bay should you decide! — Very Happy with Hostel But miffed with the work , GB (2009-10-01)

This is a really good hostel, probably the best of my stay in Oz so far, and I've been here three months! Although fairly simplistic -- it doesn't have the attractions of a pool table, a gym, or anything else really fancy, it does have cheap internet, maximum six-bed dorms, a well equipped and spacious kitchen, and a really friendly atmosphere. Steph is great, really kind, and friendly, and the location is so convenient! — James , UK (2007-04-26)
