If you ever have doubts about a backpackers you will quickly change your mind. The Pilbara is like nothing you have seen in your life. The Cossack backpackers is fantastic. The caretakers are absoulutely fabulous. The surrondings of this place are beauitful, and its so peacefull. Its somewhere where you go to get away from work, business. I recommend it to everyone. You have the river right across from you, bring down your boats jet ski's fishing rods perfect place for fishing, eat what you catch that night with the bbq they have outside. A++++++++++++++++++

This is the most wonderful backpapckers I have ever stayed in when I was there in 2003. It's in the old police station, which is the only permamntly inhabited building in the town - during the day other buildings are a cafe, a gallery, a museum, etc, but at night it's just you alone on the verandah watching the stars. The owners will meet you at the bus stop in Roebourne.
