We had a problem of dust in our room, so we went to the reception for asking to clean, she cleaned but but we are really allergic so she gave us another appartment for just 10 dollars a night more, generally it costs 89$, but for us she permit us to pay just 59 dollars (doulbe room, private bathroom).
She was really nice a friendly, we were so surprise about her decision to give us another apartment and not share anythings to other customers (in our first booking we made a reservation for a doulble room backpeacker).
We are 100% satisfied!!!! We will send a postcard from Italy!!! Thank you for the breakfast free!!

We stayed in a very large private double room witch, to our surprise, had a little kitchen and an ensuite bathroom. The decor of the building is amusingly curious.

Good location, just opposite where the free bus stops, and with free bike hire it's really easy to see the city. You get what you pay for, and we thought it was pretty great for the price.

It's not the nicest nicest Hostel I've ever been to, but regarding the price it was good...WIFI included (onlz in the lobby, quite cold there all the time), breakfast included. All in one, not perfect, but worth the money ;)

It is in the quieter side of the street that never sleeps--Hindley St.

We had a family room for 4 persons, which suited us very well, since we got our own room with a bathroom, a microwave and a small fridge. And we got breakfast packages when we left the hostel before ordinary breakfast time. Great! The only thing we can complain about is the noise from the night club next door. The music is so easily transplanted through the concrete walls!

Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was a bit far walking but there is a free tram around the corner.

Kiwi Lodge? Never again! On saturday we were given the keys to a hostel that looked like a methadone clinic. On entering our room we were greeted by complete filth. It wasn't cleaned, the fridge was leaking, and it made us feel physically sick. The receptionist was very apologetic and offered us a refund but then the owners walked in and in no uncertain terms said "too bad. No refund." I have never met such a horrible man in my life. He was rude, abusive, and not the least bit apologetic. In the end the wife agreed to offer us a nights refund, but not before this horrible gentleman screamed "Dont give them a F###ing refund, they're gonna bag us anyway!" I urge everyone out there thinking of visiting Adelaide to stay well clear of Kiwi Lodge -- horrible horrible greedy people. They will take your money and not invest a cent back into their hostel. I've seen homeless shelters in better shape than this place. Their description online couldnt be further from the truth. — Anonymous, Sydney (2009-03-10)
