Bulldoze it.
We stayed there a week, and in that time my wife and I were covered from head to toe with bedbug bites. The Staff in general were rude when approached about it and we really had to pressure them to get anything done about it -- they tried to treat the room themselves, but it did not work. We had to treat all of our clothes and bags with insecticide before we left. The kitchens are filthy, and the en-suite in our room had paint falling off the walls and ceiling. The beds were uncomfortable and dirty, and I will not even mention the rats in the sky garden. You have been warned! Do not stay here.

Hmmm
Was ok, I spent three days here and was not completely impressed. beds needed replacement and rooms were less than comfortable. Ok kitchen utilities. They need more info on the website and the manager was quite rude when explaining things different than other cities. However it was quite central to everything we needed and was safe.

Terrible
I traveled oz for fifteen months and stayed in many hostels and this is the worst. The rooms, beds, and all the amenities are in a bad way and need renovation. When I asked for extra blankets because the room was cold, the woman behind reception handed me two stained blankets. She said she was about to clean them but I could have them anyway! 'Nuff said.

I think location is very good and staff is very helpful. Bed is clean and you can eat free rice, bread, tea, coffee anytime. Roof top has beautiful view and I can meet many kind people there.

This is the most disgusting hostel I have ever stayed in. Kitchen is filthy, rooms are filthy, and want to hear the best part? Most of the rooms have bed bugs! When I asked them for a refund it took alot of convincing. Do not ever stay! If they tell you the rooms have been fumigated then its a lie because the bloke that owns it does it himself!

Good location but very shabby and not well staffed or organised. Promised free airport pick up but when i phoned they refused to collect me.

I had a great time staying at City Resort. The staff were very helpful and people-friendly, and the rooftop garden has one of the best views in Sydney.

Very disorganized. We got there and they didn't have beds for us so they went out to buy new ones and crammed them into a room. The place wasn't filthy but very shabby and I certainly wouldn't have prepared any food there. Watch out for the rates they quote you and keep hold of your receipt, otherwise you won't get any of your deposits back. The plus side is that it has a great location, a five-minute walk into the city and a ten-minute stumble back from Kings Cross.

This hostel has new management, and they've spent a lot of money renovating. The rooms are large and clean, and the hostel is very close to city center, Kings Cross, the Opera House, etc. The rooftop view of city and the harbor are great, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Try this hostel now, for it's cheap, clean and friendly.

This place is in desperate need of renovation. The rooms are terrible, the kitchen should not even be called a kitchen, the free tea and coffee have no milk to go with them, and the beds smell.
