So many wild animals! Possums came out at night! There is a kangaroo, parrots, dogs, koalas! It's a pretty cool place to be. Port Stephens is very small, it's a place to go if you want some quiet time to sit around. Or you can go to the beach or sand dunes.

Pete was very helpful! I stayed in a private twin cabin and I like it! However, I had to use some insect repellent on to not be food for mosquitoes!

A wonderful place with very friendly staff! If you want to fall asleep and wake up to the sound of wildlife (possums, birds etc) and the smell of eucalyptus trees and perhaps see some koalas and kangaroos, this is the place to go!

It is not a traditionel hostel with its position in the "forrest". Buildings fit naturally in the enviroment.

The staff was amazing. They helped in every way possible. The owner pointed us in the right direction for sightseeing, and even took us into town because we missed the bus. He watched over us (two girls) like we were his daughters.

I stayed here for a few nights; the owners were lovely and really helpful. It's set in a lush place with a one-mile beach 50 m away and we went sand boarding here, too. Definitely recommend it. — Sarah (2005-11-12)

Nice place, especially nice staff! — Taika Närhi (2004-05-07)
