Dirty place, stupid owner! I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to that place, the owner Peter Doody's only preoccupation is your money. He promised us good jobs, we worked sometimes 10 hours a day to get less than 50$. Also he'll make you work for farmers who have no respects and who'll treat you like a slave. Yelling at you all day long for a sh*tty pay at the end of the week. You'll get charged $10 per day for transportation and his vans are really not meant to be on the road! (some friends got fined by cops because the car at a broken door and Peter didn't care)! Try another backpacker in Mildura, know that Zippy Koala and the stopover are also his backpacker! — Anonymous , France (2011-06-30) Worst Hostel ever The Riverboat Bungalow is the worst Hostel I've ever seen on my journey in Australia so far. The kitchen is smelling horrible, living room and dorms are disgusting. We were promised that everybody who's staying in the hostel has a job at the moment and that we'll get a job after a few days as well. Staff was weird too. Obviously it wasn't true that everybody is working at the moment an after 5 days we left the hostel cause we found another possibility to work on a farm (which wasn't the best either but anyway).
