This place is great
well ive done both -- partied and stayed at murphys. i'm an out of town regular and i've also stayed at other hostels and hotels and to murphys ill return. good guinness, good accommodation. may seem pokey in the kitchen, really well set out. also not many rooms so book ahead. good nightlife and a good sleep to boot.

I've never stayed at Irish Murphy's but I've partied there - being a Ballarat girl (away in London now). If you are looking for somewhere you can party then this would be a good central place. The location is also excellent as it is in the middle of Ballarat City.
