A really busy town in the summer times, derelict and bland due to excessive summer tourism in the winter. A main Turkish port from Greece, Marmaris has lost the charm of many other coastal and inland Turkish towns/cities, and so has the Interyouth hostel.
The place was locked on arrival, and finally managing to get it in, the staff person plainly didn't know what he was doing. However the dorm rooms were clean, as were the toilets and bathrooms. Security is pretty good, with each room having their own key and there are safes you can use.
The interyouth hostel is the only hostel in Marmaris, however there are lots of other pensions or guesthouses around the place.
Overall, the hostel was a little like the town it was situated - they're only after the money, which means it did lose a lot of charm, however, if you are wanting a good place to party, in a touristy Turkish town, then Marmaris and the Interyouth hostel is the place for you.
