The Hostelz.com Review
The Tango Pension Hostel is a rare gem of a hostel that will fulfil every need that travellers may have and more!

The hostel is modern, well kept, and exceptionally clean. The staff are ultra friendly and helpful. The food is fantastic and the internet free (with three fast computers). The rooms are large and comfortable and the common areas and entertainment is excellent. The hostel is a very short walk to the small Koycegiz town and about one hundred meteres from a little beach on the lake (the hostel lends out bicycles for riding around the town or to go down to the beach).

Our group of four people got a large room with six single beds in it (but they never tried to put strangers in with us to fill up the beds). The en-suite bathroom is clean with a Western-style toilet and a corner shower that is hot with great pressure. There is also a fan which is a welcome relief from the heat at night. Linen and blankets are provided and there is a wardrobe in one of the corners.

Breakfast is included in the price and the selection is great and the food even better. Choices include french toast, scrambled eggs, traditional Turkish menemen, museli, yogurt and honey, omlettes, etc. They can also whip up lunches and dinners for reasonable prices and have quite an extensive menu.

There are a number of common areas to suit different tastes. One common area is a big lounge with sofas, a TV, and lots of dining tables. Another area is outdoors with lots of picnic tables, lounging areas with big cushions, and a bar. For a quiet nap, there are hammocks and lots of other seating on the top level of the hostel with plenty of shade (this area was perfect for drying towels and laundry too).

The entertainment is such a pleasant surprise and makes a stay at Tango truly memorable. Two evenings during our stay, the hostel staff lit a huge bonfire outside and we were entertained by a belly dancer and one of the staff members danced with fire-poi and performed all sorts of tricks for us. They encourage guests to join in dancing around the bonfire and to attempt twirling the fire-stick! We suggest ordering the Tango cocktails as they are delicious and presented in a very 'unique' way (try it and see)!

In addition, the hostel staff organizes two boat excursions -- one is a night boat trip around the lake and to the sulphur mud baths. The second is a day boat trip to visit Turtle Beach (where the turtles come ashore to lay their eggs) for a swim in the beautiful Mediterranean Sea and then to the mud baths and thermal pools (twenty Turkish Lira with lunch included). The hostel staff can also organize other trips or provide information to help you organize your own excursions.

5 Excelent clean hostel/pension near large lake, with great staff and fo
I stayed at this pension for three nights 11th to 13th September 2009 and had a happy and relaxing time. the owner Sami made me welcome and gave me a private room at the price of a dorm room. All the staff are very friendly, kind, and helpful. i recommend the boat day trip for 20 lira lunch included, to the mud baths, turtle beach, and Dalyan rock tooms. What a day out and trip! The town is unimpressive, but the scenery and enchanting people would make me return tomorrow. A beautiful place in a great country. Sami rocks!

5 a quiet place, and a hostel that gives you a real chillout. great communal area, internet access, food and beer are superb as is the bonfire in the garden. I loved the cushioned areas outside! walk into the little village is only ten minutes. the rooftop terrace overlooks the lake and there are enough hammocks and benches and cushions to relax, read your book -- I felt so at home!
