3  I was there in december and experienced 2 very different days. I was greeted by a very nice and gentle girl, the hostel was friendly and spotlessly clean and I felt instantly at home. the girl was deported in the evening by the police and the owner of the house took over -- with the result of the hostel being very dirty the next day and the guy only sitting watching TV, smoking, and drinking. no one cared for the hostel that day and in a dusty town like goreme ... well, you imagine. for the cold -- yes, it was cold. you know that when you travel turkey in winter, and with a proper sleeping bag everything is fine. on top of that plenty of blankets are provided. but because of the latter experience I would go somewhere else next time.  ()
1  I stayed here in January, so granted it was cold outside. It was the worst hostel experience I had throughout all of my travels. My heater wouldn't stay on. There was no hot water. My room was so cold that I could see my breath! I had to take a cold shower in a freezing room. Even with two thick comforters on, I was too cold to sleep at all that night. I asked for help from the people who worked there, but they were all too drunk to be of help. If you are going to this town, stay somewhere else — you have plenty of choices!  ()
