5  Nice familiar place I have been in Australia for almost 2 years and stayed in Sydney for a long time. Always when I was in Sydney I came back to this place. It is nice, quiet and comfortable. I made here in this place many friends from all over the world. The past 2 month I stayed in a single room which was nice and the price was fair. The owner is very patient, fair, and human.  ()
5  Nice for the price you pay We stayed in a double for three nights -- found manager friendly. The facilities in the room were very good, had air conditioning and a fridge in the room. Place was clean and tidy. Location was excellent.  , Ireland ()
2  I am extremely disappointed about the services this place is totally horrible with the one man work show(owner). dirty and disgusting, you can totally smell the food (the hostel is above the busy restaurant).the room was dirty and you never get what you asking for from the hostel, if you have choice better go somewhere else.  , germany ()
5  A clean and friendly environment We stayed in a twin room for 8 days. The place was clean, safe, friendly, and had comfortable beds. It was a great location in the centre of the city and the free wireless internet was very convenient.  , England ()
2  Sub-par Hostel I stayed here two nights -- my third hostel in Sydney and many others throughout AustraliaIt's a one-man show, and he's behind on the upkeep -- carpeting, painting, stocking the kitchen, and so on. The hostel is convenient to Central Station, but the price was higher than I expected ($27/night for the cheapest room) and the first morning some strange guy was crashed on the couch watching cartoons -- there's no manned front desk and he either snuck in or got a key from somebody as he fled when asked to come down and pay. The place itself holds promise, but I would look elsewhere (and I am for my last two nights in Sydney) for that sweet spot of price, safety, and amenities.  , United States ()
4  All good second time in sydney. second time i've stayed here. i find it's a good place to stay -- not too big, shop/reception is handy next door. location good too. got on well with the man in charge, really interesting character! place is clean and well looked after. no problems.  , england ()
5  Cool and very very good condition -- also boss is very kindly. Here is very clean. Cheap and many country people in here. If you come here you will make many friends.  , South Korea ()
5  Cool and tidy place to live in I stayed in a double room for a couple of weeks and felt no less than being at home.  , India ()
5  Clean, comfortable, cheap, and friendly manager I've been in the dorm for ten days and had a great time. Rooms are comfortable and clean and so is the bathroom. You can use the kitchen (provided with basics for cooking -- salt, oil) and free internet. Peaceful and quiet, close to the park, the market, and to Central Station. The manager is extremely friendly.  , Spanish ()
5  Value for Money Clean, Good location, Free internet access. Overall good environment. Comfortable rooms, clean linen.  , Swedish ()
5  Best accommodation in Australia The hostel has only twelve rooms and is is newly remodeled. The interior is warm and cozy with vaulted ceilings and spacious bathrooms. The amenities include a full kitchen, on-site laundry facilities, and free internet access. The hostel is close to neighborhood cafes, Central Train Station, the Australian Museum, and excellent nightlife. It is two blocks away from a heated indoor Olympic-size pool and spa. Nearby Sydney Fish Market has fresh fish daily with lobster, oysters, sushi, and sashimi for the lowest cost anywhere. I have stayed here several times in the shared room and private en-suites, I found them to be quiet and very comfortable, this is the best accommodation in Australia.  , USA ()
4  Four-bed dorm We have stayed in the hostel in the four-bed dorm. The beds and the room are excellent and clean. The manager was extremely friendly. The location was very convenient. The bathrooms were clean. We had a good time.  , Poland ()
5  small and peaceful place. i like the design there. very colorful. free internet!  ()
2  We stayed in a double en suite room. On the plus side it was quiet, and the hostel did have free internet — but the owner takes the computer cable with him when he leaves, so you can only use it when he is present. It was really dirty. They did have coffee and tea in the kitchen but everything (the kettle, the mugs) was crusted with old food. I never saw any free breakfast, however judging from the rest of the place I wouldn't have eaten it anyway. It is above a Thai restaurant so the downstairs is very smelly. I would recommend staying elsewhere if you have a choice.  ()
1  This place is terrible. The whole hostel just has one staff (owner). No service at all. You have to clean the toilet yourself. And the place is very noisy at night. It is hard to fall sleep.  ()
