Hostelz.com's Review
City Hostel Nürnberg is a nice place to stay while in Nuremberg if you are looking for something cheap and close to the train and bus station. The owners are very friendly and happy to help with anything.

The Location

City Hostel is located about a five-minute walk from the train station and there is parking available on the street out front. The hostel is within the old city area, so most of the historic sites are within ten minutes' walking distance or less. Also within walking distance are several restaurants, grocery stores, shops. It is located on a side street right off the main street, so it can get noisy at night, but it seems to be in a safe area.

Rooms and Bathrooms

The hostel offers several dorm options. The rooms are clean and tidy and fresh sheets are issued upon arrival. Lockers are also available within the rooms. The beds in the dorms are triple bunks and there is not much space in between them. The rooms have a couple chairs in them, but typically most people hang out in the large common area or in the couches in the hall. The bathrooms and showers are also clean and there are hooks for hanging clothes.

Common Spaces

The hostel has a large kitchen complete with everything necessary to prepare a meal. The hostel also sells some food items (typically canned goods) and it is possible to buy breakfast. There is also a large common dining/hanging-out area. There are several tables, couches, and a large flat-screen television. This hostel is an ok place to stay if you are looking to meet people. Sometimes there are people hanging out in the common area, sometimes not. Overall the hostel is quiet and laid back. The hostel does not have free Wi-Fi, but you can buy it hourly. Also, the hostel does not have twenty-four-hour reception and thus has limited check-in hours.

If you are looking for something close to the train station or in the middle of the historic area of Nuremberg, then this hostel is great. If you are looking for something long term or to meet people, this might not be the best hostel.

4   Good Good good Very friendly and great rooms, Also the the kitchen and shower and dinner room great, very friendly people there working and I love when it's natural and no extra effort to try to be more hosting than you are. your guys are really great all of you working there, prices good, I'm not a fan of internet but to have free wifi I think will give the picture of very good hosts and to have this opportunity to easy study and work over internet but it's great over all.  , age 29, Sweden ()
